A Private Secure facility offering services youth ages 10-20 with moderate to severe behavioral and emotional dysregulation.

What Is SHIELD?

The SHIELD Program is a full-continuum program licensed to work with male youth, ages 10-20, with moderate to severe behavioral and emotional dysregulation. This 12-week, 5-stage program is designed to provide treatment for youths who require intensive treatment for antisocial and oppositional behaviors, and trauma-related issues.

How Does SHIELD Work?

The SHIELD program operates with a 3:1 youth-to-staff ratio. The focus of this program is on the youth understanding their behavior by exploring its impact on their own lives and the lives of those around them. They will look at their trauma history to gain an understanding of the contributing factors to their dysregulation. Finally, they will develop coping skills to better manage their emotions and become safer for themselves and the people around them
