Students receive a combination of self-paced online curriculum, blended online and in-person learning, and electives (such as art class, small-engine, and woodworking shop, and PE) taught by licensed teachers and specialized instructors.
- Self-paced, independent online coursework gives students the freedom to work at their own pace without judgment.
This structure gives students an opportunity to recover lost credits and earn a Core 40 diploma or GED. They can start at any point during the school year with earning credits towards their diploma or preparing for and taking the GED.
The Pierceton Woods Academy School is a recognized program through the Indiana Department of Education and is accredited by Cognia, a third-party accrediting agency recognized by the Indiana State Board of Education. This accreditation applies only to the school program and its educational services. It does not extend to the residential program, or any other affiliated services unless separately accredited.
Because of our Accreditation with Cognia, credits earned at Pierceton Woods Academy are transferable to Indiana Public and State-Accredited High schools.
